Shoemakers Museum tells the story of Clarks shoes. A 200 year journey from Quaker origins and the first handmade shoes to factory development and community life. Enjoy a history of advertising from Victorian era, through the roaring 20s to the 1980s and 1990s pop culture, to the current day. Relive a 1980s shopping experience in our recreation shoe shops. See how designs in footwear fashion have changed through the decades and how a local company became a globally loved brand. Guided museum tours are available. The Museum offers free coach and car parking, plus an onsite café and shop. Open daily 10-5pm.
