North West What's On

Join the Silk Museum for a host of fun in May

Our museum is filled with a world of stories relating to the silk industry. Donations are welcome but the museum is free to visit and collections include: The Egyptian Collection, When Football Came to Macclesfield and The Machine Gallery, plus many other objects of interest related to silk, print and pattern, clothing and artwork including paintings by Charles Tunnicliffe.

We recommend that you pre-book guided tours or mill entry only to experience our factory floor Paradise Mill, though you can book at the museum and some walk-up spaces may be available.

The Upstairs and Corridor Galleries display varied ongoing art exhibitions.

The Museum including Galleries, Silk Shop, Tea Room and Garden are open from 10.00-4.00 from Wednesday to Saturday.

Check our website for the full programme of workshops and events.
