One of the loveliest things about October is the onset of Autumn. The old Hall looks particularly pretty when the leaves start to fall and the sunlight seems quite magical.
We have finally opened Maria’s Team Room & Gift Shop.
It's beautiful and the team have done a stellar job. We’ve taken the time to shuffle things around a bit and have Reception in there together with an amazing shop. We're stocking delicious Lancashire produce together with our own home-baked scones, cakes, tray bakes, sausage rolls, pies, scotch eggs and quiche.
We had a quiet open Sunday and the produce was greatly purchased.
It’s so pretty in there, we are looking at inviting smaller groups to have afternoon tea, cream tea or maybe even tiffin!
And here comes a very busy month!
Being October and with Halloween on the horizon, we've got a lot going on. We are Lancashire's most Haunted House after all, so it’s a little hectic.
The Sunday Guided Tours are always busier this month with an extra sprinkle of spookiness, of course! Whilst entry and the tours are completely free, we do ask for a voluntary donation if you are able. Please help us to keep the Hall open for another 700+ years!
On Halloween itself, we have an extra special Torchlight Tour. At the moment, it is sold out, but you can join the waiting list should tickets become available. Other Torchlight Tour dates include November 12th & December 3rd.
We've also got one eye on the festive season.
Christmas will be here before we know it and we've got lots of fabulous events taking place.
These include meeting Victorian Father Christmas, our Ghost Story for Christmas and our legendary Christmas Fair Weekend!
So do please call in and see us. Maria’s is open for a coffee and cake, or maybe stroll up to The Garden Room Eatery for breakfast or one of our scrumptious lunches. We can't wait to see you!
