Say Hello to Omari at WMSP

West Midlands Safari Park are excited to introduce Omari, an adorable red panda cub!

Born on 21st June to mum Mei Lin and dad Sanka, she’s recently had her first health check, where the vet confirmed she’s in great health.

Keepers also microchipped her and took ID photos, making this an exciting milestone for the newest addition to the family! 🐾

The name Omari means ‘light’ in Nepalese, chosen by keepers as a fitting tribute to the places where red pandas live in the wild.

With red panda numbers declining due to habitat loss, every new arrival is a special one. 🤍
