Fermanagh Lakelands Unveils Caves to Cruise Combo Pass

Fermanagh Lakeland Tourism is proud to announce a new and exciting tourism offering, the Caves to Cruise Combo Pass. This exciting initiative combines two of Fermanagh’s most iconic attractions - the Marble Arch Caves and the Erne Water Taxi - into one seamless adventure, offering families an affordable and unforgettable day out.

This unique offering also celebrates a landmark year for both attractions, with Marble Arch Caves marking its 40th anniversary and Erne Water Taxi celebrating 10 years on Lough Erne.

Timed to coincide with Tourism Ireland’s new global campaign, Ireland Unrushed, this package invites visitors to slow down and immerse themselves in the peaceful magic of Fermanagh. From exploring the awe-inspiring underground world of the Marble Arch Caves to cruising the tranquil waters of Lough Erne aboard the eco-friendly Island Discovery, this is a must-see, must-do experience for families, adventurers, and nature lovers alike.

Louise Curry, Marketing Manager at Fermanagh Lakeland Tourism, expressed her enthusiasm for this new offering: “With the current economic climate making budget-conscious travel a priority, the Caves to Cruise Combo Pass provides exceptional value for money.  This experience also showcases some of Fermanagh’s most stunning natural and cultural treasures making it a must-do experience for visitors of all ages - perfect for families, and anyone looking for an unforgettable day out.”

The adventure begins with a guided tour of the Marble Arch Caves, where visitors can marvel at underground rivers, awe-inspiring stalactites, and delicate rock formations. The tour lasts 60-75 minutes and includes a short boat journey (weather permitting), ensuring an immersive and educational experience for all. For those with accessibility needs, a Virtual Reality Cave Explorer Experience is available at the visitor centre.

The journey continues with a relaxing 60-minute cruise on Lough Erne aboard the solar-powered Island Discovery. Departing from Enniskillen Castle Museums jetty, this eco-friendly boat offers panoramic views of Ireland’s only island town while expert guides share captivating stories about local history and folklore.

Barry Flanagan, owner of Erne Water Taxi, shared his excitement: “This collaboration highlights the best of Fermanagh’s natural beauty and eco-tourism efforts. The Island Discovery offers a sustainable way to explore Lough Erne while learning about our unique island town. We’re delighted to be part of this incredible experience.”

Stephen Cox, Manager at Marble Arch Caves, reflected on the milestone: “Celebrating 40 years of welcoming visitors from around the world is a testament to the enduring appeal of Marble Arch Caves. This collaboration allows us to share our geological heritage alongside Fermanagh’s stunning waterways, creating an exciting experience for all.”

The Caves to Cruise Combo Pass is available for purchase now, with tickets valid throughout the 2025 season. Prices start at £27.50 for adults and £14.00 for children aged 5-17, with family packages also available. Both attractions are suitable for all ages, though accessibility varies—Marble Arch Caves offers a Virtual Reality Cave Explorer Experience for wheelchair users unable to access the guided cave tour.
