Tatton Park Dances for VE Day

Tatton Park was set to celebrate VE day by hosting a vibrant ‘street party’ down on the Farm with live music and 1940’s dance to join in with. Instead, the Farm team, its volunteers (and of course the farm animals!) have come together ‘virtually’ to star in a fun compilation of 1940’s Jitterbug inspired dance to mark the significant date.  Read more

My Chemical Romance head for Eden

The Eden Project announced today (February 12, 2020) that My Chemical Romance will play the Eden Sessions on June 16, 2020. In what is seen as a massive coup for the venue, the acclaimed USA rockers – whose most famous album is The Black Parade - will play Eden before three huge shows at Stadium MK, Milton Keynes.  Read more

Drawing on Nature: Taki Katei's Japan

4 October 2019 – 13 April 2020, World Museum Liverpool. Once a celebrated artist in Tokyo, Taki Katei (1830–1901) had the honour of his paintings being displayed in the imperial court, and his impressive works travelled to international expositions. After his death, one of his pupils, Ishibashi Kazunori (1876–1928), took charge of a large group of sketches and brought them to Britain when he came here to study in 1907. Drawing on Nature will show a selection from Katei’s collection of drawings that he used for teaching, for preparing some of his major commissions, and as aides-mémoire.  Read more
