Nearly 700 years of history are encapsulated in this beautiful moated manor house. Every room tells a different story about its owners - from the medieval crypt, to the rare surviving Tudor painted ceiling and Victorian billiard room.

The private apartments of Charles Henry Robinson, who gave Ightham Mote to the National Trust in 1985, give a real feel for 1960s American interior design, while interior design of the canine variety can be seen in the extraordinary Victorian dog kennel. The tranquil garden features lakes, an orchard and flower borders. The ancient estate offers breathtaking views of the Kentish countryside.

Note: very steep slope to reception, shuttle bus available for less-able visitors.
