Malvern Well Dressing Self-Drive Tours

Come for a day out around Malvern town and its delightful hills. Malvern is famous for its water and here we have been dressing the Wells for over 20 years. It has become a marvellous institution where locals revel in celebrating water and beautifying the wells, springs, spouts and water features with floral and arty adornments.

Come and see a blossoming of 56 Wells as they are again dressed for the May Day week Malvern Well Dressing Festival. Some dressings are simple, some are fabulous, and they are all different. The chosen theme, this year is Yellow, because it “makes me think of Spring”!

Many wells are road-side with easy access. Either use a prepared route plan or for the 5 star treatment pick up a knowledgeable tour guide to take you around.

Do not bring a coach, it will get stuck, we have dainty roads, bring your own minibus. If you have no minibus, take a guided minibus tour.

The wells are dressed on Friday 1st May and ready to view by the Saturday, some start to come down on the Wednesday although most stay up till the Sunday. Still, fresh is best, so think to come earlier. If you have the time, it may be less busy avoiding the weekend.
