West End Comes to Durham

Durham University students are going to be performing the beloved musical ‘Oklahoma!’ this January in Durham’s very own Gala Theatre.

Durham University Light Opera Group (DULOG) is performing this Rogers and Hammerstein classic from 21st – 25th January, with the show featuring the iconic songs such as 'Oh what a Beautiful Morning', 'Surrey with a Fringe on Top' and of course 'Oklahoma!'. From tap-dancing, to waltzing, and the renown dream ballet, this show undoubtedly exhibits all the talents that Durham students have to offer. With its cowboy hats and uplifting energy, this musical will appeal to all ages.

DULOG’s president Millie Blair has said “As our largest production of the academic year, I am absolutely thrilled and grateful that we are able to once again perform in the incredible Gala Theatre and return with such a beloved musical.”

“The whole team have been working tirelessly in recent weeks to bring the show to life. After an intense rehearsal period and braving the freezing January mornings, the cast are extremely excited to share the fruits of their labour with you all in what is sure to be a true spectacle.”
