Unique and Bespoke Small Tours for 2020

The multi award winning Caerhays Castle and spring gardens has announced its new season of tour opportunities for 2020 with a focus on bespoke, guided and unique experiences for smaller groups.

After a vintage award winning year in 2019, visiting small groups to Caerhays will be able to explore the magical 140-acre English Heritage Grade II Listed woodland gardens and enjoy its stunning National Magnolia Collection, made up of over 600 varieties, as well as go in the Castle, seeing first hand the stunning interior, still lived in by the Williams family today.

The Castle is stunningly located on the south coast of Cornwall, near The Lost Gardens of Heligan, and overlooks the beautiful Porthluney Beach, with direct access to the South West Coast Path. It is perfect for a unique and unforgettable tour of this less well known part of Cornwall.

Guided Castle and private tours are available from 16th march – 12th June.

For tour groups which want a truly individual and authentic experience, there are bespoke tours of the castle and its grounds, hosted by a member of the Williams family with the opportunity to stay on the magical Estate itself in luxurious and interesting accommodation.

 

Each tour can be tailored to the needs of the group , but may include on arrival welcome drinks or a champagne and canape reception, a welcome talk with a member of the Williams family (subject to availability), a personal tour of the castle and/or gardens with a member of the Williams family (subject to availability) or a specialist Caerhays guide. It’s also possible, by private arrangement to offer VIP dining in the stunning castle. Prices for the tours will depend on group size, itinerary and menu.

 

Accomodation is available at The Vean a beautiful country house within the Caerhays Estate. Sleeping 16 the house has 8 double ensuite bedrooms and offers bed and breakfast or exclusive hire with its own in-house chef if required.

 

Also available for private hire is Burncoose House, a stunning 7 bedroom property situated at Burncoose Nurseries, (40 minutes west of Caerhays).

For tour groups wanting to discover other parts of Cornwall as well, Caerhays works with the Great Gardens of Cornwall to offer bespoke ‘behind the scenes’ tours of the gardens throughout Cornwall and can help advise and co-ordinate wider tours.
