The house and grounds are steeped in history, from Tudor beginnings to their dramatic rescue by a Texan architect in the 20th century.

Note: the house has an eclectic collection. Two groups per day on open days, out of hours by special arrangement. In February special access to the garden to view the snowdrops is by appointment only. Toilets in car park (accessible toilet only at house).
