It was here that Milton completed Paradise Lost. The three ground-floor museum rooms contain the most extensive collection in the world on open display of 17th-century first editions of John Milton’s works, both poetry and prose. The garden is the only Grade 2 registered one in the Chilterns and worth a visit in its own right.
