Located on the Derbyshire and Yorkshire border, a visit to Renishaw Hall and Gardens is a must for any garden lover. With eight acres of formal gardens and wider woodland on offer to explore, Renishaw Hall is famous for its classical Italianate gardens and wider park which were designed and laid out at the end of the 19th century by Sir George Sitwell, great grandfather of the current owner Alexandra.

The gardens offer a tranquil place to visit for the day, or simply to wander around or relax for a few hours of fresh air.

Garden highlights throughout the season include bluebells, delphiniums, camellias and roses and the stunning ‘white garden’.

Garden tours for groups are available throughout the year by appointment, and discounts apply if booked in conjunction with a tour of the fascinating hall, home to the Sitwell family for 400 years. Each year, Renishaw Hall hosts its famous plant fairs in May and August, a must in every horticultural calendar.

The hall, with its Jacobean origins and superb collection of art and furniture, is open for public tours on Fridays throughout the season and for groups throughout the year, by appointment. Literary tours are also available on request.
