As winner of the prestigious Green Tourism Business Goldstar Award 2011, Lochranza Youth Hostel is ranked as one of the UK’s top ten greenest businesses. Recently refurbished, our beautiful youth hostel is situated on the banks of Loch Ranza, opposite a 13th-century ruined castle in beautiful countryside. Spacious rooms and a range of facilities make Lochranza Youth Hostel a popular base for groups exploring the Isle of Arran.


Rooms
We have 53 beds configured in a range of room sizes from 2-8 bedded rooms. Many rooms have en-suite facilities.

Reasons to stay

Close to some of the island’s biggest attractions Lochranza Youth Hostel is an ideally situated. Visit Arran’s only whisky distillery, enjoy hillwalking, mountain biking, pony trekking, golf and watersports. Other attractions include Brodick and Lochranza Castle, the Arran Brewery, the heritage museum and Ocean Breeze Rib Tours. The youth hostel is also located on the Cock of Arran trail, which provides a beautifully scenic low level trek and a great spot to watch wildlife, including red deer, red squirrel, grey seals, otters and golden eagles.
