This impressive former shooting lodge stands within extensive grounds in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. The centre of Braemar is a bustling place and a popular halt for coach tours. There is a variety of shops and, in the centre, the Highland Heritage Centre with displays on Braemar’s royal connections and the Highland Gathering. Braemar is also a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts with some excellent mountain climbs close by.

Rooms
We have 40 beds configured in a range of room sizes from 1-8 bedded rooms.

Reasons to stay

Braemar is an ideal base for exploring Royal Deeside, the mighty Cairngorms and in winter a great location for skiing and boarding at Glenshee and The Lecht. Visit Braemar Castle, Braemar Highland Heritage Centre and the Queen’s Scottish home at Balmoral Castle (open between April- July). There are distilleries in the area including Lochnagar and for something a bit different try a 4x4 Highland Safari Mountain Trip. There are opportunities for hillwalking, mountain biking, wildlife watching and golfing on the highest golf course in the UK.
